Bluff Beach is one
of the few beaches in the entire world used by the
Leatherback Turtle for nesting. It is also used by
Green and Hawksbill turtles. During the months of
April to July - you may see huge female turtles climb
onto our beach to lay their eggs. This July, we
were lucky enough to watch these hatchlings make their
way to the ocean. It was truly a National
Geographic moment for our family. My 6 year old
niece, even held one in her hand on its way to the
ocean. We wished all the babies well on their
perilous journey to the big sea.
