Prenatal Yoga Workshops

In this yoga workshop you will be guided through a gentle yet challenging stretch and strength practice adapted specifically to support the changes in the pregnant body and to prepare your body and mind for the rigors of birth.
Along with a large repetoir of yoga poses we will also practice breath work, sounding and deep relaxation techniques all of which are beneficial for you and your baby. You will learn, as you go along, how you can use yoga as a method for birth.
This course is being taught by Janine Woo who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience on the subject. Our small group environment allows everyone to have a hands-on experience with lots of room and lots of props. Modifications and individual support will be provided for varying trimesters, varying yoga experience and specific conditions.
Our goal is to help you have a safe, healthy and comfortable pregnancy, keeping as many of the common aches and pains at bay as we can, while getting you in shape, and preparing you for birth and the first few challenging months in your new life with Baby.
It’s fun, easy, informative and you will meet other women at varying stages of pregnancy, (and mom-hood) with whom it is great to exchange stories and share your experiences. If you have had a yoga practice previously it will need modifying. In our prenatal yoga workshops you will learn how to do that safely, but no previous yoga experience is necessary. Prenatal yoga may be started at any time during pregnancy, though most women feel more inclined after the first trimester, when they start to feel better.
Missed classes - please give us 24 hours notice of absence and you will qualify for a make up class in a regular yoga class - no expiry. Great for using after your baby arrives!
