Amanda Sheather is a movement educator who teaches public Yoga and Pilates classes, private training sessions, and teacher trainings in the city of Toronto. A graduate of the Simon Fraser University Dance Program, Amanda received her 200hr yoga teacher training from Yyoga in Vancouver, and her mat Pilates and reformer teacher training in Toronto from Body Harmonics. Amanda’s goals are to make you feel confident and strong in your body, no matter your physical ability. Expect to move, laugh, learn, and be challenged. Accommodating to all practices and levels, Amanda likes to ease you into motion so you can move powerfully and efficiently through appropriately challenging sequences. Her attention to detail, well articulated instructions, and cues, teach you things about your body and movement that you can carry over into other classes and into your daily physical life. Amanda has experience helping clients recover from hip and knee replacements, pre and post natal exercise, sciatica, piriformis syndrome, recovery from mastectomies, and exercise for osteoporosis and arthritis. Whether the movement is soft and small or strong and big, Amanda can help you find ways to improve your everyday mobility and vitality.
